Palliative and end-of-life care (PEOLC) services in Saint-Sauveur (Laurentians)

Palliative and End-of-Life Care (PEOLC) is intended for people of all ages who are suffering from an incurable illness that may compromise their survival in the short or long term. They are not limited to cancer sufferers, but also include people with cardiac, respiratory, degenerative neurological and dementia diseases.

They are also aimed at the person’s loved ones, particularly in terms of support, psychosocial accompaniment and respite, in all phases of the illness and bereavement. Compassion, respect and dignity are an integral part of our values, and are reflected in the services we offer to our clients and their families.

Located in the heart of the Laurentians, our private, subsidized CHSLD’s mission is to recreate a family-like, humane environment for people at the end of life, enabling them to pass away peacefully, surrounded by their loved ones.

Palliative care is of the utmost importance when the end is near, as it ensures that people at the end of life receive the special attention they need. That’s why the CHSLD L.-B.-Desjardins focuses on providing the right care for its clients.
